Chrome is no longer the only choice for bathroom taps. Scudo's Colour by Scudo programme offers the same finishes across taps, showers, wastes, shower screen profiles and accessories. This guide covers how to pick a finish and keep the whole room looking deliberate.

Check finish availability before you plan the room:
Each product page lists exactly which finishes are available.
The safest approach is one metal finish for everything you touch: taps, shower, wastes and accessories. If you want to mix, do it on purpose. Keep the brassware in one finish and use a second, darker finish such as matt black for frames, mirrors or the shower screen profile. Two finishes look planned; three or more usually look accidental.
Warm finishes like brushed brass and bronze sit well together. Cool finishes like chrome and brushed nickel do too. Mixing a warm metal with a cool one works best when one of them is clearly the accent.

The details are what make a finish look finished. Scudo makes the following in the same finishes:
A brushed brass tap with a chrome waste beneath it is the most common mismatch, and the easiest to avoid.
Brushed and matt finishes are less reflective than chrome, so everyday water marks show less. Always follow the care advice on each product.
With Scudo Forte wetroom panels, yes: profile packs come in the Colour by Scudo finishes, so the glass hardware can match your brassware.
Many do. The Universal Basin Waste, for example, comes in chrome, matt black, brushed brass, gunmetal, brushed bronze and brushed nickel.
