Essential Bathrooms is committed to operating responsibly and sustainably. This statement sets out our approach to environmental, social and governance (ESG) matters, proportionate to the size and nature of our business as a UK bathroom and accessible bathing retailer.
Environmental
- We aim to minimise waste and use efficient, appropriate packaging for safe delivery.
- We work with our suppliers and carriers to make deliveries as efficient as possible.
- We promote water-saving and energy-efficient bathroom products, and durable, long-lasting goods that reduce replacement and waste.
Social
- Accessibility is central to what we do. We specialise in products that help disabled, elderly and less-mobile people bathe safely and live more independently.
- We treat customers, staff and suppliers fairly and with respect, and provide knowledgeable, helpful service — including to vulnerable and disabled customers.
- We choose to work with reputable suppliers who maintain ethical and lawful employment practices (see our Modern Slavery Statement).
Governance
- We comply with applicable laws, including UK consumer protection and data protection law (see our Privacy Policy).
- We act honestly and ethically in our dealings with customers, suppliers and partners.
- We keep our policies under review and update them as our business grows and as best practice and regulation evolve.
