Tradeline Pearlescent White Gloss MDF Wet Wall Panel – Tongue & Groove, 2420 x 1180 x 11mm
Bring a white with a subtle pearlescent shimmer to your bathroom with the Tradeline Pearlescent White wet wall panel. Behind the high-pressure laminate face sits a moisture-resistant MDF core with a laminate compensator backing, which is what keeps the board flat and stable in a humid room rather than bowing over time. The result is a completely grout-free, waterproof wall that goes up in an afternoon instead of the days tiling would take.
Why panels instead of tiles
- No grout. Nothing to discolour, crack or scrub — the single biggest maintenance complaint in a tiled bathroom simply doesn't exist
- Far quicker to fit. A shower enclosure is typically a single day rather than several
- Goes over existing tiles. No hacking off, no skip, no re-plastering, provided the existing tiles are sound and firmly bonded
- Hygienic. The non-porous laminate surface gives mould and bacteria nothing to hold on to
- Wipes clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent

Tongue & groove – what that means for fitting
Tongue & groove panels slot directly into one another, giving a near-invisible joint with no trim needed between panels. That is the main reason to choose T&G over square edge. You will still need end caps and corner trims where the run starts, stops or turns a corner — but no H-sections, which are for square edge panels only.
How many do I need?
Each panel covers approximately 2.86m². As a rough guide, a standard shower enclosure of three walls takes three to four panels, and a full bath surround typically takes two to three. Measure each wall, divide by the panel width, and round up — offcuts are useful for reveals and it is far better than being one panel short mid-fit.
Fitting notes
- The wall must be sound, dry, flat and free of dust, grease and loose material
- Panels can be fitted directly over existing tiles provided the tiles are firmly bonded and degreased
- Apply panel adhesive in vertical beads, so any moisture behind the panel can drain rather than pool
- Seal every cut edge. The MDF core is exposed wherever you cut, and that is where water gets in. This is the single most common cause of panel failure
- Cut with a fine-tooth blade, face up, to avoid chipping the laminate surface
- Allow the panel to acclimatise in the room for 24 hours before fitting
- Finish visible junctions with Topseal colour-match sealant rather than a standard white silicone
