Whale is the water systems brand of Munster Simms Engineering, which has been manufacturing pumps in Bangor, Northern Ireland since 1810. The shower drainage range solves one specific problem: where a wet room floor or a level-access tray sits below the drain line, or on a solid floor with no fall to work with, a Whale pump moves waste water away instead of relying on gravity.

What we stock

Our Whale collection covers the drainage pumps and the parts that keep them running. Pump kits include the SDP073R DryDeck 20 shower waste drainage pump, the BP1558B auto-switch connect pump for trays, and the SDP134T Instant Match Bluetooth pump, which links wirelessly to a compatible electric shower so the pump runs whenever the shower does. The Gulper 220 pump body is listed separately for replacements. Spares and service parts cover diaphragm and valve service kits, replacement pump heads, tricuspid valves in packs of ten, the AK1568 flow switch and the AK1570 mixer valve conversion kit, so an installed pump can be serviced rather than swapped out.

Who it suits

Whale pumps are specified by wet room installers and adaptation contractors working with level-access trays and floor formers where a gravity waste is not possible, and they are the usual answer for a retrofit into a solid floor.
