Impey Slimfold Fold Up Shower Bench
The Impey Slimfold Shower Bench is the backless version of the Slimfold Shower Seat: a wall-mounted fold up bench made in Britain from corrosion-resistant stainless steel with a moulded polyethylene seat. With no back or arms it projects only 63mm from the wall when folded, so it suits narrow shower areas and lets a half-height shower door swing fully inwards without touching it.
Like the seat, the bench is carried on cross-bracing wall supports rather than drop-down legs. That removes the trip point at floor level, keeps the floor clear for a wheelchair turning circle, and means the bench can be fixed at any height from 415mm upwards to suit the person using it. The top is angled back at 4 degrees so water runs off the rear, and the smooth rounded polyethylene surface has no dirt traps and feels warm to the touch.
To deploy the bench you pull out the front edge so the rear slides down. When folded it shows the top of the seat rather than the underside and will not drop down if knocked. Independently tested to BS12182 and BS12727, it supports up to 300kg (47 stone). Choose the seat colour from the dropdown.
