Impey Slimfold Horseshoe Fold Up Shower Seat with Back and Arms - White Stone (SFHS250WWS)
The Impey Slimfold Horseshoe Shower Seat is the Slimfold seat with a horseshoe-shaped cut-out at the front, giving a carer clear access for assisted washing and personal care while the person stays seated. It has a back and two fold-down arms, and is made in Britain from corrosion-resistant stainless steel with a moulded polyethylene seat and arms in White Stone.
Like the rest of the Slimfold range it folds flat against the wall when not in use and projects just 114mm, against 200mm or more for a conventional horseshoe seat. Covered fixings, hidden hinges and smooth rounded surfaces leave few places for dirt to collect, and there are no protruding edges when it is stowed.
The seat is carried on cross-bracing wall supports rather than drop-down legs, so there is no trip point at floor level and the seat can be fixed at any height from 415mm upwards. To deploy it you pull out the front edge so the rear slides down, and the arms then fold into place. The mechanism will not drop down if knocked. Independently tested to BS12182 and BS12727, it supports up to 300kg (47 stone).
