The Vent-Axia Lo-Carbon Response SELV HTP is a continuously running extract fan for bathrooms, toilets, kitchens and utility rooms. As a SELV model it runs on safety extra low voltage from a remote transformer and is rated IPX7, so the fan itself can be installed within Zone 1 — inside the spray area of a fixed bath or shower — with the transformer sited away from the water and out of reach.
It runs quietly in the background and boosts automatically when the air gets damp. The ambient response humidistat is adjustable between 40% and 90% relative humidity, so it can be set to suit the room rather than running at a fixed trigger point, and a switched live input activates the overrun timer. A pullcord gives manual boost control as well.

What SELV means
Safety Extra Low Voltage is required where a fan has to be fitted within Zone 1 of a room containing a fixed bath or shower, under the IEE wiring regulations. The fan runs at low voltage from a mains safety isolating transformer that is mounted outside the spray zone. If your fan position is outside Zone 1, a standard mains fan may be all you need.
