The AKW 2000 Series Standard Fold Up Shower Seat with back and arms is the fully-supported option in AKW's compact seat range. Where the plain 2000 Series seat gives you a padded seat alone, this model adds a padded backrest and a pair of individually folding armrests – giving support on three sides while still folding away flat against the wall.

The arms are the detail that makes the difference in daily use. Because each one folds independently, either side can be dropped out of the way to allow a clear approach to the seat, then raised again once seated. The mid grey soft-feel padding runs across the seat, back and arms, giving a consistent finish that's warmer to the touch than a bare frame.

Choosing the Right Seat

This is the fullest-specification seat in the 2000 Series. The same seat is offered with padded grey, blue or dark blue arms and cushions, or non-padded with grey or blue arms. If you don't need arms or a backrest, the plain compact seat is more economical and takes less space. For a wider seat or a rating above 158kg, step up to the 4000 Series extra wide range.

Installation & Care

Fix to a suitable solid wall capable of taking the rated load — professional installation is strongly advised, with fixings appropriate to your wall construction. Because the seat height is set once during fitting, agree the preferred height before the brackets are positioned. Clean by removing the cushions and wiping both pads and frame with warm soapy water; avoid abrasive cleaners and solvents, which will damage the soft-feel surface.
