AKW Swift Option E Half Height Shower Screens for Swift Trays (All Sizes)
These screens fit AKW Swift trays only. They are not interchangeable with standard Option E screens for ordinary trays. Need the tray as well? See the AKW Swift Level Access Shower Tray.
These are the Option E half height carer screens built specifically for the AKW Swift level access tray. The Swift tray has its own footprint, so it takes its own screen sizes — ordering a standard Option E screen for a Swift tray is a common and expensive mistake.
Half height means a carer can assist from outside the enclosure and stay dry, which is the whole point of the format. Bi-fold doors open inwards and outwards on 180 degree hinges, so the doorway stays clear for a wheelchair or a second person.

Which one do I need?
Match the screen to your tray size exactly. Square trays (795x795, 945x945, 1045x1045, 1245x1245) are non-handed — both panels are the same length, so the screen is symmetrical. Rectangular trays (1095x795, 1295x745) are handed. Standing at the entry corner facing the shower, left hand means the longer door panel is on your left, right hand means it is on your right. Getting handing wrong is the most common ordering mistake on these — see the handing diagram in the images above, or the specification sheet below.
Every Swift screen is 750mm high. AKW do not produce a 900mm high version for the Swift tray, so there is no height choice to make.
Not every size is offered in both glass finishes. Standard glass covers 795x795, 945x945, 1095x795 and 1295x745. Silverdale frosted covers 945x945, 1045x1045, 1095x795 and 1245x1245.
Looking for Option E5?
For the 1095x795 Swift tray, AKW also make the screen in an Option E5 door configuration at the same price. See the AKW Swift Option E5 Half Height Shower Screens. If you are unsure which configuration suits your room, check with us before ordering.
Before you specify
AKW advise two things that are worth knowing before installation. Power showers should not be specified for use with AKW shower trays and screens. And only AKW screens should be used with AKW trays — mixing manufacturers can compromise the water seals.
Bottom door seals are water barriers rather than fully waterproof. If you are pairing the screen with a shower curtain, make sure the curtain is long enough to cover the door seals.
